From civil engineering dropout to founder

I was studying civil engineering when I realized I spent more time building apps than studying for exams. At some point the honest move was to stop pretending and go all in on software. So I dropped out.

It wasn't a clean, confident decision — it rarely is. But the engineering mindset didn't go to waste. Thinking in structures, loads and tolerances turned out to map surprisingly well onto software architecture.

Crystal Softonic is what came out of that bet: a one-founder studio shipping premium apps, websites and digital products. Two apps on Google Play, a couple dozen live sites, and a long list of things still in build.

If you're sitting on a similar decision, I won't tell you to drop out. But I will say this — build the thing you can't stop thinking about, and let that tell you where to go.
